Online strategy

Which online platform is right for reaching those with whom you want to connect, inform, entertain or engage? Write Across Media works with you to understand what you are trying to achieve, and then recommends the combination of media that serves your purpose. We never recommend a platform merely because its the platform de jour. It must be fit for purpose. With a big nod to Marshall McLuhan, who coined the phrase “The medium is the message”, we never just rollout the same content across different channels – messages must be crafted for each specific platform.

Write Across Media’s Kerry Sunderland loves working with other creative people to help them tell their stories across multiple platforms in the digital age. In particular, she has specialised in working with documentary filmmakers to develop cross-platform documentaries that are produced for the big screen, television and online delivery.

This includes roles such as:

  • Online content consultant for the redevelopment of the official Saddle Club web site for Crawford Productions Australia (2008)
  • Interactive producer/director, The Burning Season (2008),, winner of IF Best Documentary 2008, winner of Audience Choice Award at the 2008 Brisbane International Film Festival
  • Producer and writer of the biographical website,, which accompanied the documentary I Told You I Was Ill: The Life and Legacy of Spike Milligan (2005)
  • Writer/producer of the web site to accompany the award-winning documentary, The Man who Stole my Mother’s Face (2004), winner of Lexus IF Award for Best Documentary 2004, Tribeca International Film Festival Best Documentary 2004, New York.

Kerry Sunderland also publishes a blog about digital marketing and multi-platform media production, with a specific focus on creating words for the screen.
